Arts for All Children operates under the fiscal agency of Boulder County Arts Alliance, and generates funds by hosting music and dance concerts and by seeking funding from businesses, individuals and foundations.

2007

The Year in Review

2007 was the first year without a major Arts For All Children fundraiser. We are greatful however, for the continued support we received from our donors. This financial support helped keep our private students in lessons and allowed us to help other teaching organizations with finacial assistance.

Since December 2005 we have awarded 30 youth scholarships and have contributed to the following organizations:

Brief Summary of the Organization's History

Ten years ago Hutch Monteson began hosting an annual fundraising concert featuring the Tamburitzans of Duquesne University at Boulder's historic Chautauqua Auditorium. These 35 university student dancers passionately bring the culture of Eastern Europe to the stage. This concert has generated quite a following. People come from all over Colorado to attend. It is a multi-generational event and a great fundraiser.

In 2003, we officially became Arts for All Children and were able to receive donations through our fiscal agency, Boulder County Arts Alliance. Although AFAC's initial goal was to sponsor just one child with top quality music lessons for one year, we actually raised $7000 and were able to provide a variety of individual scholarships.

In our second year we were able to put on two concerts and sent out our first fundraising letter. We were able to raise $14,500. The spring concert, "Acoustic Eidolon" drew enthusiastic listeners and served as a successful fundraiser. In May, we hosted the Tamburitzan concert at Chautauqua Auditorium. After the initial costs of the concerts and advertising we were able to generously donate to the scholarship funds of Boulder Arts Academy and Rocky Mountain Center for Musical Arts as well as maintaining our own individual scholarships. Arts for All Children also continued its contributions to other Boulder County Music scholarship funds including The Boulder Philharmonic, Rocky Ridge Music Camp, Longmont Youth Symphony, and the Longmont Youth Chorale.

For the 2007/2008 year, AFAC has a goal of raising $15,000. Please consider Arts for All Children for a donation for the 2007 scholarship drive.
